Nickname NFT
Change a minted character's name and optionally preserve the old name as an NFT.
Understand nickname types
A standard nickname is an off-chain character name that cannot be traded. A Nickname NFT is a separate on-chain asset kept in Nickname Inventory and usable on another character or through Marketplace trading.
Change a nickname
- Select a minted character on the character selection screen and choose Change Name.
- Create a new name or choose an existing Nickname NFT.
- For a current off-chain name, choose whether to mint it for a fee or permanently delete it before replacement.
- Review the fee breakdown and confirm.
Check the waiting periods
- Nickname minting is unavailable during the character's first 24 hours after minting.
- A name change starts a 30-day wait before another change.
- The first change fee is waived within seven days of character minting; minting the old nickname still has its separate fee.
